J.M. Barrie Peter Pan and Wendy is for sale. This book is not dated but has an introduction that states that the royalties from the book goes to Great Ormond Street Hospital, thus the book is dated to circa 1929.
The original red binding has a lightly embossed image of Peter Pan to the front board. The binding is in Good condition being complete but worn with fading to the spine, corner knocks and wear, and wear to the top and bottom of the spine. This very early and collectable Peter Pan book measures 4½ x 7¼ inches (approximately).
The Peter Pan and Wendy book has 317 numbered pages with red endpapers, an illustrated Title Page, and numerous full page and smaller line drawings in the style of Mabel Lucie Attwell.
The pages are very clean with no inscription; there is a colour illustration of Peter Pan adhered to the Half Title Page, a small nick to the edge of the Half Title Page; otherwise extremely clean.
